Renaissance House
Renaissance House is a transitional home for women and children that are for various reasons temporarily displaced from permanent housing. Renaissance House addresses an important aspect of ARI's mission in building healthy communities: eradicating homelessness and generational poverty among women and children due to serious challenges of domestic violence, addiction, and economic distress.
It is our belief that along with our foundational commitment to provide an atmosphere of love, healing, and forgiveness, if we educate and equip families with resources, opportunity, and information, we can destroy stereotypes and break the bounds of generational poverty and domestic violence. Our programming, designed by our staff social worker, psychologist, and resident manager, includes workshops on personal responsibility and planning, spiritual- and self-awareness, nutrition, health, financial basics, computer skills, parenting, goal setting, conflict management, and healthy relationships. We also provide resources to conduct job searches and housing searches, tutoring for the children, afterschool technology programs for youth, and educational assessments for youth and adults.

The ultimate goal
of Renaissance House
..to provide a safe environment and relevant programming so that occupants can overcome social and economic barriers that prevent them from building healthy families and achieving long-term self-sufficiency. In addition to shelter and temporary housing, Renaissance House provides workshops, counseling, and personal planning that will ensure women are able to create strategies for long-term success.
